Yesterday I was in the Baylor bookstore while Aaron was in class taking his stats midterm, and I was looking in the foreign language section (my favorite for some reason) and found a really cheep teach yourself German book and CD kit. It’s suppose to be 35 minutes a day for 6 weeks, and since our trip to Germany is 72 days away, I got it! It might not be that good, but it was cheap, so who cares., it was worth it.Aaron’s been trying to get me to learn for years, and I said I was going to before last years trip and didn’t, so this year I really want to try. I am still learning Italian, I am going to borrow the Rosetta Stone software so that should be great and help a lot, but the Germany trip is first so I will focus on that for now. I figured it I post my progress on here I am more likely to finish it and maybe learn something, so I will keep you posted.Day 1 was reading this cheesy conversation on a plane, how this guy has lots of money and a vacation home in Mallorca and how expensive it is when his wife calls her family in the States, but I guess its the vocabulary it’s teaching you that’s important, not the story.
